[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top] 13 MOONS SHE-CAT WINDCLAN WARRIOR | [atrb=style, width: 296px; padding: 5px; background-color: e3e3e3; border-top: 4px solid #000000;] GENERAL INFORMATION NAME, Brindlewing EXPLANATION, |
BRIEF DESCRIPTION, gray torbie she-cat with amber eyes
FAMILY, Dappledfire – mottled gray and ginger she-cat, mother
Stormstrike – dark grey tabby tom, father[/div]
APPEARANCE
PERSONALITY
she's hot tempered – Brindlewing is easily goaded into fights. She easily loses her temper and when she does, she gets violent. 99.9% of the time, she acts without thinking, so things usually get off to a pretty shoddy start. If someone insults her, someone or something she cares about, she's liable to start using her claws. She certainly doesn't have any reservations about getting physically violent.
she's competitive - She can't turn down a challenge – she can't do it. Literally, she is basically mentally incapable of saying no if someone challenges her. She's constantly striving to prove that she is the best, usually at racing. She's so desperate to win all the time that she doesn't always play fair. While many cats strive for fairness and honesty, Brindlewing is not one of them. She'll do just about anything to make sure she wins.
she's brash – Brindlewing is probably one of the most insensitive cats you'll ever meet. She's cheeky and if she's got something to say, she's going to say it – although perhaps not always loud enough for the person to hear. If you're looking for a shoulder to cry on, don't seek out Brindlewing – she's the last person who's going to make you feel better. In fact, Brindelwing will probably say something that will make you feel twice as bad because she doesn't think before she speaks.
she's lazy – It's really quite amazing that Brindlewing was even even made a warrior, seeing as she lacks one of their most valued traits in a warrior – willingness to do hard work. Brindlewing is really quite lazy 90% of the time. However, in the 10% that she isn't doing nothing, she can be really quite productive. She's goal oriented and when she has a clear goal she usually can work hard to achieve it. However, tasks she thinks are menial tend to not make it very high on her priorities list, especially if she can get out to participate in a race instead. Strategy is also not a strong point for Brindlewing – she's a brawn over brain sort of she-cat, although that sort of goes along with her act first think later tendencies.
she's mischievous – Brindlewing loves a good laugh. She's got a great sense of humour and she loves to amuse herself by pranking others. She'll team up with just about anyone who has a good prank. Despite her hot temper, Brindlewing doesn't get angry when the shoe is on the other foot. When she gets pranked, she'll laugh just as much as she does when she pranks other people. She's got a lot of energy and when she's not being excessively competitive, she finds it difficult to find outlets for her energy, so she usually resorts to satiating her sense of humour if she's bored or restless.
she's egotistical – It's really a wonder that Brindlewing get anything done at all. She's got to be the centre of attention. She's quite sure that she's awesome and a fantastic athlete, and she is very eager to remind anyone who forgets this. Some would consider her overconfident, it's probably true. Brindlewing is a huge show-off and she loves being the centre of attention. As far as she's concerned, she's like the world's coolest tomboy; she's very popular and has many friends in spite of her boastful nature. Brindlewing's number one priority is Brindlewing. She looks out for Brindlewing first and everyone else second. If her friends were to sacrifice something that they all wanted, Brindlewing would be the last to sacrifice as well, and would only do so under pressure from her friends. Brindlewing's goal is to become known and famous for being the fastest cat in Windclan's history.
she's loyal – Despite her many selfish qualities, Brindlewing isn't completely self-serving. She's extremely loyal to her friends, and while she'd be the last to sacrifice for them, she'd never let them down if she could help it. Loyalty to her friends and to her clan is perhaps her strongest quality. Despite the fact that sometimes she isn't a very good friend and can put herself first when she shouldn't, she would never betray or abandon her friends. Brindlewing would do anything for her friends and would even turn down what could be her only chance to fulfil her life goal because her friends needed her. Although she tends to put herself first in everyday life, when it really counts, Brindlewing is always there for the people she cares about.

HISTORY
Brindlekit was born to two Windclan warriors. She was their first and only kit, and she was cherished. Her parents, Dappledfire and Stormstrike, were both classic Windclanners and she was no different. A lithe build and powerful legs meant for sprinting across the moors, and sprint she did. Her kithood was fairly average although she did find a hero within the clan at a very early age. From the first time she saw the ginger she-cat, she was her hero. She was constantly sneaking out of the nursery to talk to the warrior, and her insistence to be just like the speedy ginger she-cat did not escape the notice of the clan leader.
The she-kit always had a hot temper and an inability to turn down a challenge and when she was nearly six moons old, she found three apprentices in the clearing, two arrogant toms bullying a soft-spoken she-cat. Brindlekit thought that was quite unacceptable and spoke up for the she-cat who didn't seem to know how to defend herself and the two toms challenged her to a race. Well, they were only a moon older than she was but they did know the territory better than she did because she'd never actually left camp before. But they challenged her to a race, hoping to humiliate her. They gathered up all their apprentice friends and took the almost-apprentice out to a spot on the moors where they could race.
She won, obviously.
Got in trouble for it though. Turns out that Tallstar had seen the whole thing, and although he had given her a thorough scolding for the outing, he also now had a good idea who should mentor the headstrong kit with the need for speed. Her parents scolded her too, because what she'd done had been terribly dangerous and what if something had happened to her and she'd given them such a fright when she'd just run off like that.
A quarter-moon later, she was given the name Brindlepaw along with the greatest possible gift that Tallstar could have possibly given her. The same ginger tabby that Brindlepaw had adored from kithood became her mentor. Her name was Fireflight and Brindlepaw's parents had told her that Fireflight was the fastest she-cat in Windclan. Brindlepaw had wanted to be just like her for as long as she could remember. Brindlepaw could hardly contain her excitement.
Brindlepaw worked hard to be like her mentor. When she wasn't training and hunting and doing other menial apprentice tasks, Brindlepaw was out on the moorlands. She was exhausted more often than not, but she wanted to be the fastest cat in the clan and that would take practice. For a time, some of her fellow apprentices thought she was having a relationship with a cat not in the clan, but when they followed her, they found that her secret was terribly boring. She was just practising sprinting on the moors.
As tensions continued to rise between the four clans, so did Brindlepaw's battle experience. Border skirmishes increased in frequency and Brindepaw found herself enjoying the rush of battle. It wasn't that she enjoyed hurting other cats – she just liked the adrenaline rush that came with the battle. Her mentor was pleased at least with her apprentice's willingness to defend her clan at all costs, and she wasn't too shabby when it came to battles. Her legs were strong from all the sprinting practice, and she was usually able to fling off any cats who tried to pin her down, even if they were heavier than she was.
With Tallstar distracted from the strain of an especially hard leafbare, Brindlepw began to grow impatient at the thought of delaying the warrior name she was sure she deserved. It wasn't until Tallstar joined the ranks of Starclan and a new clan leader stepped up to take his place that Brindlepaw finally earned her warrior name – Brindlewing, given the suffix '-wing' because of the way her paws flew across the moorland as though she had wings.
