[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top] 11 MOONS TOM THUNDERCLAN APPRENTICE | [atrb=style, width: 296px; padding: 5px; background-color: e3e3e3; border-top: 4px solid #000000;] GENERAL INFORMATION NAME, Rainpaw BRIEF DESCRIPTION, dark gray tom with blue eyes FAMILY, Whitestorm, father Willowpelt, mother, deceased Sootpaw, sister Sorrelpaw, sister Graystripe, half-brother Darkstripe, half-brother APPEARANCE Clicky but add THESE BLUE EYES PERSONALITY Rainpaw is a loyal tom who is devoted both to his clan and his family. He is very close to his littermates and to his father, and he was very attached to his mother before she died. He looks up to his father, and he considers his brother and sister two of his best friends. His half-siblings don't qualify as real family to him, though, so he treats Darkstripe like a regular warrior, and Graystripe like the ThunderClan traitor he is. He still considers ThunderClan warriors a cut above the rest. ThunderClan is his home. It is the only clan he will ever truly feel comfortable with and, in his opinion, it is the best clan around. Rainpaw would never have a close relationship with cats from other clans because that might jeopardize his position in ThunderClan. Befriending their WindClan allies seems impossible to him, and a cross-borders romance is unfathomable. He harshly judges cats who seem to treat their ThunderClan allegiance as secondary. Though he can be judgmental, he is overwhelmingly sensitive for a tom. He picks up on the emotions of other cats very easily and, in most cases, finds himself very sympathetic to their situations. More than most, he finds himself distraught by the news of deaths in the forest, and hearing that a fellow apprentice or a warrior has been killed in battle will leave him with nightmares for days. Of course, this makes war a hard time for him as he is not only battling to stay alive but also fighting to control his emotions in a time of severe loss. He's obedient but he's not afraid to ask the tough questions: a sentiment which comes most importantly into play regarding his feelings towards Tigerstar. He trusts Bluestar's decision to make Tigerclaw deputy, so he trusts Tigerstar now and will do what he's told to do. He will fight in battles that seem unnecessary, tolerate rogues that trample through camp, and even uphold the idea of TigerClan, but he's not afraid to ask his mentor what he is fighting for, why the rogues are there, and how TigerClan isn't considered a breech of the Warrior Code. That is to say, he's not afraid to ask his mentor or the senior warriors these questions, although he's a little more hesitant in posing this questions to Tigerstar himself. He's restless, which makes him a good apprentice, since apprentices usually get little downtime. Rainpaw alway needs to be doing something. He goes on patrols frequently, is always volunteering to go out hunting, and is always asking for more training. Partly this is to help avoid the nightmares he has because of the horror that is ripping up the forest right now, but it is also because he hates to be bored and would rather be doing something productive. Each patrol he goes on brings him one step closer to earning his warrior name. No one can deny that he's a hard worker, although some may wonder why he often goes hunting in the middle of the night. He has a rare but scary hot streak. Mostly, he just lets his anger and frustration fester inside him quietly, piling up and up and up... But eventually, all that bubbling lava has to come out, and when it does he is truly volcanic. He can get mad. Fuming, spitting, clawing mad. And when he does, it goes everywhere. He can't control it or direct it, he just lashes out at everything and everyone in his way. So just pray that he never explodes around your character... And if he does, watch out! HISTORY KITHOOD Rainkit and his siblings are war babies, born amidst the blood and fear of what seems to be world war. The games that all kits play in the nursery were either mixed in with or, at times, entirely replaced by drills: how to hide if ShadowClan attacks the nursery, how to outrun an attacker, how to defend yourself against a full-grown warrior. If anyone had attacked the nursery, the kits wouldn't have stood a chance, but it was better that they didn't know that at the time. He grew up hearing grumblings spread about Tigerstar behind his back and hearing grand epics about the heroic Bluestar, but Rainkit always knew how to think for himself. He realized at an early age that if the great and powerful Bluestar trusted Tigerstar, then so should he. Besides, Tigerstar was the only leader he had ever known. It was easy for Rainkit not to doubt him. APPRENTICESHIP At six moons, he was apprenticed along with his siblings. Rainpaw, now that he was older, grew more vocal about the fact that he believed Tigerstar wanted what was best for ThunderClan. Rainpaw could tell that Whitestorm, along with many of the warriors, didn't completely agree with this assessment, and though it hurt him to go against his father's beliefs, he knew that something as simple as an opinion over a leader wouldn't tear apart his family. He remained close with his siblings and with his parents as he began his training. However, three moons into his training, a badger attacked Rainpaw's brother near Snakerocks and Willowpelt threw herself into the battle to get the animal off her son. Her distraction succeeded. The badger began attacking her instead of Sootpaw, and the vicious creature killed her. When Willowpelt's body was brought back to camp, Rainpaw was devastated. He demanded to know what had happened, and the story left him reeling. How must his brother feel, knowing that their mother died to save him? It was over a moon before Rainpaw could finally sleep normally again. Although it shouldn't have had any affect on his training, Rainpaw knows that now it will be longer before he becomes a warrior. He can feel it in his bones that he's not where an eleven-moon-old apprentice should be in terms of training. OTHER INFORMATON anything else missed in the application that you would like to mention? if not, leave this blank. RP SAMPLE Provide a decent length rp sample (no less than 2-3 paragraphs) showing how you would role play the character. Here, you are trying to show us that you can capture the character's personality, habits, etc. It's one of the most important parts of application, so put some time into this one.
