HISTORY
Poor Lightflower.
How was she to know that Birdtail had kits by the same father, and only a moon before?
Stripedclaw was charming and handsome. What she-cat wouldn't like him? He was a little offputting, but surely he only needed a little love to reveal a gentler, kinder side, didn't he? Lightflower was positive. Their affair was brief, and secret. She didn't mind it that way. He told her he didn't want to become the focus of the Clan's attentions, and she understood that. She was his little secret - the thought pleased her, according to Spottedtail later in life.
Spottedkit was upset that she couldn't talk to the other kits in the nursery. She wanted to be friends, but every time she tried to play, Birdtail would keep her and her brother firmly away from her kits. She didn't know they were her siblings at all, for a time. Lightflower eventually told her and her brother, Flintkit (named for his gray pelt), the truth about their half-siblings, and by then Spottedkit wasn't sure how to react to them. She wasn't mad at them - they were like her siblings, after all. But at the same time, she was a little nervous around them. Were they mad? Did they not want to talk to them, like Birdtail? She was a little scared of Birdtail, who always was telling them to go away and leave her kits alone. She decided to be nice to her half-siblings, but carefully, so as not to upset Birdtail. She was closer to Flintkit than any of her half-siblings, anyway.
When she reached six moons, Spottedpaw received Littlefoot as a mentor. She liked Littlefoot - he was funny, but a great warrior. He made training sessions fun, but challenging, even with his small stature (she was nearly his size in a few moons). She never knew when he would play his next joke, and so she was always on her paws and on the alert. She had a great time with him, and the two became close, for mentor and apprentice. The time soon came when she needed his closeness - Lightflower and her half-sister, Willowpaw, died of fatal injuries from a fox attack. She grieved for her mother, who had been close and affectionate with her and Flintpaw where Birdtail had been exclusive and bitter. She found it hard to continue, but she knew her mother wanted her to be a great warrior, and so she carried on for her. Each day became easier, especially with Littlefoot's gentle guidance. She trained hard, and became a reasonably skilled warrior. With her hard work and determination, she was given the name Spottedtail, in honor of her most distinguishing feature.
A few moons after she was given her warrior name, Spottedtail fought against RiverClan for the Sunningrocks. She found hard, and was devastated to learn of Redtail's death - he was clever and a just deputy, and she felt sad that he would never become leader. However, she approved of the choice of Lionheart as his replacement. She was surprised Tigerclaw wasn't chosen - a strong, handsome tom like that, the avenger of Redtail, hadn't been chosen to be deputy? It was certainly a shock, but if any cat was a good choice instead of the dark tabby, Lionheart was a cat Spottedtail would have chosen. This was around the time she started feeling her own ambitions to be leader. She wanted to strengthen ThunderClan, and felt that she had much to offer as a leader.
She became one step closer to this dream after she was awarded her first apprentice, Quickpaw. The young tom was quick to learn, but also quick to lose focus. She enjoyed teaching him when she could get him to focus, but she found that he was quite a challenge to train. Still, she hoped to shape him into a strong and fast warrior, one that ThunderClan could be proud of. She found herself often consulting her old mentor, Littlefoot, for ideas and tips. She had been his last apprentice, and he had since moved to the elder's den, but she knew he still had a lot of wisdom and experience to offer.
Several moons passed, and Quickpaw and Spottedtail learned well from each other. This training was soon put to the test when ShadowClan invaded the ThunderClan camp. She and Quickpaw helped to drive ShadowClan out of ThunderClan's camp. During the battle, Birdtail and Littlefoot were killed. Her mentor died trying to defend the nursery alongside his other denmates in the elder's den, a noble warrior to his last breath, in Spottedtail's mind. She mourned for the loss of her mentor, but couldn't summon much grief for Birdtail. The she-cat had always sent her away from her kits when all she wanted was to be friends, and their divisions had never faded. She mourned her as a Clanmate, but Littlefoot's death struck her more. She was glad to see Tigerclaw take the place of Lionheart upon his death during the raid. The Clan needed his strength and authority as deputy, and she supported Bluestar's choice wholeheartedly. She spent some time trying to get him to notice her, as a friend, if not a mate. But he never seemed to care. Only Goldenflower held his attention.
Spottedtail eventually pushed her infatuation aside, settling for admiration of his skills as a warrior, of which he had plenty. During the following leaf-bare, Spottedtail and Quickpaw were also present during the four-way battle between the Clans. It was because of this battle that Quickpaw earned his warrior name, Quickstep for his speed and determination. Spottedtail was proud of him, but she also felt horribly guilty when she heard of Bluestar's death. She wished she could have protected her leader somehow from the rogues who she believed killed her. She was a noble leader, fair and kind. But now there was Tigerstar. She felt safe and confident in Tigerstar's rule.
Like many cats, she questioned the idea of his TigerClan. But the more she considered it, the more she found herself supporting the idea. She had been looking for a way to create peace amongst the Clans, and she believed that if there were no borders, as Tigerstar described, then there would be peace. What else would they fight over? And Tigerstar was a strong leader, loyal and full of courage. If any cat should lead TigerClan, she firmly believed it was Tigerstar. She admired his ambition, his drive for unity and peace among the Clans.
The arrival of BloodClan, however, she did not like. The rogues smelled of crowfood, and didn't understand the warrior code, which was very important to her. (She made a slight exception for TigerClan, making up reasons why it actually does follow the warrior code.) They were rude and vicious, but because Tigerstar asked her to, she treats them with courtesy, albeit cold and curt.
She will work with WindClan, because at least they understand how to behave like a warrior rather than a dirty savage. She was pleased that Mothstar understood the importance of banding together to become strong as TigerClan.
Now she works for Tigerstar and hopes to help him achieve his ambition. She was annoyed when he chose Foxheart as a deputy - what did that she-cat know about being leader?! She hopes to convince him that she would be a good deputy by his side in the near future.

OTHER INFORMATON
Filled for Blush~ (Nettlestripe's previously unnamed half-sister.)
She admires Tigerstar a lot, and believes that his ideal TigerClan is an honest step toward peace between the Clans. She supports him fully in this cause, though she's not a fan of BloodClan. She'll be courteous (and curt) to them, but that's as far as her niceties go.
Also, I'd love to have her with an apprentice if one comes up. :3
