Before auditioning, please read How High Positions Work to learn what's expected of our important characters. It is also recommended that you carefully read our site plot and history and, if you are applying for a canon, our How Canons Work. All these can be found under the Protocol Board.
Please note that these are auditions. It is not first come, first serve character claim. Staff will consider the quality of the writing as well as the characters themselves to decide who gets the role. So please, submit your best work!AVAILABLE POSITIONSWindClan leader With all the trauma WindClan has been through, there are many different directions their hierarchy could have gone in. Tallstar, for instance, could very well still be alive. But he could have died in battle or in WindClan's extended exile (it lasted longer without Fireheart to rescue them) and Deadfoot could have become Deadstar. Or perhaps Deadfoot died during exile and a new deputy was chosen (canon or original), and then Tallstar died in battle and the new deputy became leader. See? Endless possibilities. If you want to apply for this position, fill out the following form:

WindClan deputy At this point, depending on how leader auditions go, Deadfoot will either have died or been appointed leader, so you can create an original character or promote a canon warrior to deputy. If you have questions about a canon, check out the Canon Application Help thread under the Canons board. Either way, use this form.

OOC Info Alias: Shatter Years RPing: 4 or 5. It’s been a while; I can’t hardly remember. Auditioning for: WindClan Medicine Cat Why do you want this role? For a couple of reasons, actually. The first is that I’m super active and love the way this site is run ^^ The second is that I love roleplaying medicine cats, and feel most comfortable roleplaying them than any other (high) position available. --- IC Info Name: Barkface Age: 56 moons Gender: Tom Personality: There are a lot of sides to Barkface’s personality, none of which are particularly hard to reveal. It’s simply a matter of how the older tom cat is feeling at the moment. As a general rule, Barkface is agreeable and polite. He’s neither annoyingly happy, nor is he constantly under the weather. It’s a happy medium, a good balance for WindClan’s medicine cat.
As a mentor Barkface is stern but not unkind. He teaches and leads through example and the occasional question to assess understanding. His mentoring style is almost identical to Hawkheart’s, though he isn’t as quick to punish as Hawkheart was.
That’s not to say Barkface is a perfect cat; far from it. When he’s annoyed or stressed (and let’s be honest, that happens a fair amount for medicine cats, especially in light of recent events) he’s been known to snap at others. It’s understandable, but Barkface isn’t too proud to go back and apologize for his words once he’s had time to cool off.
The brown tabby also houses some distrust and prejudice against ShadowClan and RiverClan, stemming from WindClan’s exile. Though it’s been two leaf-falls since those dark times, time did little to help Barkface get over the emotional damage from losing several clan mates. He felt so helpless during that time, without the extensive supply of herbs he would have had back at camp, but Barkface did his best to keep up moral and appearances. To this day he is wary of the two clans and especially their leaders, but doesn’t let this get in the way of working with the other medicine cats. After all, it wasn’t their decision to chase WindClan from their territory, and he likes to keep a good working relationships with the other medicine cats.
In terms of his job, Barkface is excellent at what he does. His many moons spent as an apprentice gave him a strong base to build off of, and since then Barkface has only been adding to his wide range of experiences. This has made him wise with age, and the tom isn’t hesitant to share that wisdom with those who seek it.
It is only natural for a medicine cat to worry about his stock of herbs, and that’s precisely what Barkface does. He checks his stock a minimum of twice a day: once as soon as he wakes and another just before he goes to sleep. His routines have made him efficient and ultimately reliable, two traits that every clan wants in a medicine cat. However, in his age these routines have made him a bit inflexible and very stubborn. Barkface is only truly content when his den is in order and everything is running smoothly, or at least as smoothly as is reasonably possible.
When visiting patients, Barkface is reasonably calm and puts extra effort into being kind and warming. His bedside manner is surprisingly good, a comfort for kits and warriors alike. But be careful; Barkface has been known to give cats in the most dire circumstances false hope by ‘fibbing’ about their condition. It’s his way of comforting them, and possibly sending them off to StarClan with as little worry as possible.
But overall, Barkface’s strongest aspect is his belief and trust in StarClan. Granted, that’s assumed about most medicine cats, and Barkface isn’t the type to preach. But his loyalty to StarClan is unbreakable, to the point where it very nearly rivals his loyalty to WindClan itself. Luckily, StarClan’s wants never seem to clash with WindClan’s, and so the tom is not forced to choose between the two.
History Barkface isn’t the oldest cat, but with his mind filled to the brim with medical facts, he finds it difficult to reflect back on his youngest moons. What he does remember is simple facts. His name was Bark-kit, named for his predominantly dark brown pelt. He was born a single kit with no siblings, but enjoyed spending his time playing with the others in the nursery.
His apprenticeship was much more memorable. The then-named Barkpaw was assigned to be the medicine cat apprentice. He was surprised, having never expressed any interest in becoming a medicine cat, but was curious at the same time. His mentor was an old Hawkheart, a brown tom who had only recently decided it was time to take on an apprentice. To Barkpaw, Hawkheart was timeless: he and the other apprentices used to joke that StarClan itself would have to come down and drag Hawkheart from the land of the living by his tail.
As it was, Barkpaw excelled as Hawkheart’s apprentice, even if he did get in trouble once or twice for being too slow to fetch herbs. The older medicine cat was stern but not unkind to his fellow WindClanners, and was always the first to make his opinion known in a powerful, gruff voice. Barkpaw did his best to keep to his studies and not pry into Hawkheart’s private life, but one day he had to ask: How did Hawkheart become a medicine cat, anyhow?
The answer surprised him. Hawkheart hadn’t originally been a medicine cat: at first, he was a warrior, one of the fiercest in WindClan. But he dreamed of StarClan calling him to become a medicine cat, and so he had. This revelation only strengthened Barkpaw’s trust in StarClan, and Hawkheart showed him a few advanced warrior moves shortly after the conversation. The ex-warrior told him that experience fighting would help him treat cats with wounds, or if it came down to it, clues to what cat killed another based on how clean the cut was and the technique used. Barkface never forgot this advice.
After a successful apprenticehood, Hawkheart made him a full medicine cat. He received the name Barkface, for his expressive face. He still remembers how he stayed up all night that half-moon, too excited about his new name to get any sleep.
But it had been just in time; less than a moon later, Hawkheart died of a combination of old age and greencough that Barkface did his best to cure. It was a sad time for him, and he was in a state of near-depression until his next venture to the moonstone. There in his dream, he was greeted by Hawkheart, who playfully snapped at him to get his act together and take care of the clan like a real medicine cat. Barkface grinned at his sharp-tongued mentor, and when he returned to camp that night, it was as if he was a new cat entirely.
It had been some moons since then until the next life-changing event occurred for Barkface: WindClan’s exile. Barkface always had respect for the other three clans of the forest, even more so for the other medicine cats. But when RiverClan and ShadowClan chased him and his clan mates away, it was the lowest point of his life. Forced to fend off illness and infection with his severely limited supplies in unfamiliar territory put a lot of strain on both Barkface and the rest of his clan, and every lost cat was another blow to his heart. When ThunderClan finally came to WindClan’s rescue, he returned a more wary medicine cat with a lack of trust for both Brokenstar and Crookedstar. While Brokenstar is still in power, Barkface hopes that Leopardstar will be more favorable towards WindClan, though he doubts it.
Despite his appreciation for ThunderClan’s retrieval of WindClan, Barkface has and still fully disagrees with Tigerstar’s attempt to unite the two clans and form TigerClan. Barkface believes that the clans should remain just as StarClan has them now: with four distinct clans, separate yet working together. If it came to it, Barkface would leave before joining TigerClan, even at the risk of his own life. Luckily for him, WindClan has resisted all attempts to form a single clan with ThunderClan.
Most recently, Barkface took on an apprentice: Cinderfoot. While he was surprised at the warrior’s request, he accepted it because the tom reminded him so much of the once fierce Hawkheart. But so far, it’s been hard going. While Cinderfoot is intelligent and catches on quickly, he is quick to get angry. Barkface often figures that he’s more trouble than a regular-aged apprentice, but isn’t about to give him up, nor afford him any special care just because the tom is older than the average apprentice. He keeps a close watch, but overall, Barkface is confident that Cinderfoot will be a fine medicine cat when his time comes.
RP Sample: When Barkface woke up that morning it was warm, warmer than it had been in a while. A soft breeze ruffled his coarse fur; it lacked the same chilling bite that it had only days ago. The grass and dirt beneath his paws was no longer hard with frost. New-leaf had arrived.
With renewed energy the tom stood and leaned forward into a deep stretch, and a soft purr rumbled from his throat. New-leaf only brought good news. The herbs scattered throughout the territory would start growing back with vigor, ready to be collected within a few days. The more dangerous illnesses, whitecough and greencough, would be less of a threat. Barkface wouldn’t wake up in the middle of the night, stiff with cold. And the return of prey would ease the tensions between the clans… At least, Barkface hoped to StarClan it would.
But it wouldn’t do him any good to get worked up over clan politics, especially not this bright morning. With a pink tongue Barkface smoothed a few patches of fur down before trotting into his den. The air was thick with the scent of herbs that had preserved through the winter, dry but still useable, if not as potent. Barkface decided to keep them for just a little while longer, until he could replenish his stock. He might send out Cinderfoot to inspect the plants later today.
The medicine cat had just been counting the poppy seeds when he heard a stampede of tiny pawsteps behind him. His ears swiveled, but he didn’t turn from his supplies as called to them. “Yes? Something wrong?”
“I cut my pad, mister.” Just as he suspected: kits. He turned to face the trio, three brothers who had been born just prior to leaf-bare. Barkface examined the kit’s paw carefully. The cut wasn’t deep, and no dirt seemed to have made its way in. ‘But just in case…’
Barkface turned and easily found the yarrow and cobwebs exactly where he always stored them. He chewed the end of a yarrow leaf; just enough for the kit’s cut. The bitter juices filled his mouth, and once he was sure it was ready, dropped it directly onto the tiny brown kit’s paw. Before he could flinch away from the stinging, Barkface quickly wrapped the dressing with sticky cobwebs. “That should hold. You can go back to playing now; just be a little more careful. If for some reason it doesn’t hold up, come back and I’ll fix you up again.”
He heard one of the brothers whisper how he was going to be such a good warrior that he’d never need a medicine cat. “What was that?” Barkface growled, crouching so he was eye to eye with the kits. His voice was deep, but his eyes and slight grin betrayed his playfulness. “I’ll have you know that my mentor was once the fiercest warrior of the four clans, and he showed me quite a few moves to take care of a few spry warriors!”
Barkface raised a heavy paw as if to swipe at them, and the trio of kits scampered out of his den, laughing the whole way. The medicine cat sighed contently as he watched them go. Yes, this was going to be a good new-leaf.

OOC Info Alias: Talon Years RPing: 2-3 Auditioning for: WindClan deputy Why do you want this role? With the auditions closing soon I think Windclan needs at least one spot aside from MC to be filled. So I am applying so in case there isn't a leader I can step in right off the bat.
--- IC Info Name: Iceclaw Age: 34 moons Gender: she-cat Personality: Trustworthy- Iceclaw trust isn’t easily gained, although few actually have. She likes when others respect and trust her so she is as trust worthy as prey is edible.
Loyal- Loyalty is very special to her. She is loyal to the code and to her clans although she is also loyal to her friends. This sometimes leads to moral fights within Iceclaw’s mind.
Thrifty- She is a thrifty combatant and mentor. She loves to prove herself to her betters and strives for it.
Brave- She will face any cat in combat even if they out match her is every way. She loves the thrills of combat.
Obedient- She will obey any command given by her Leader or the medicine cat. She believes all should be more like her unlike the suspicions she has about some of her clan mates.
Scary- Iceclaw loves to scare others, especially her friends and rivals. Her looks help to do so.
Antisocial- She isn’t one to be all that friendly. She is very shy around others unless in combat or When she needs to be brave.
Gullible- She is easily tricked into things since she is very gullible. She sadly has a very small contingency of saying no to someone and honor makes her do as she has said unless it conflict with an older promise.
Tempered-Has a bad temper and it gets in the way of many things she has done.
Silent- She isn’t very loud. She doesn’t even say yes or no she only nods or shakes her head. History The drainage pipe was a home to a young couple before windclan came. The couple gave birth to a good pair of kits bit the third was still born. they lived on though until a group of cats (Wandclan) began coming to their pipe. They took off leaving their three moon old kittens behind. Soon the group found the kittens and a kind hearted mother took them in. They were raised and named by their adopted mother until they became apprentices.
Iceclaw wasn't the easiest to teach. She was stubborn and hated training. It was hard to gain speed in the area where they were living and so she didn't get training like the older warriors. She frustrated ehr mentor until she was about to become a warrior. The Moon before she would be made a warrior she left the clan with a rogue who she had fallen in love with. this rogue took her and together they had a small litter of kittens.
As Icepaw (Her name at the time) cared for her kits she couldn't help think of her brother and the warrior code. When a group of cats attacked it was her warrior training that saved her and her mate. This drove Iceclaw insane to get back to the clan. She tried to leave but a small unconventional meeting happened. Her mate had been running from a group of cats called bloodclan when he had met Icepaw. Well her mates past caught Icepaw in the worst of times. As she ran away they attacked striking her mate down first and then attacking her. Her only son was killed with his father and she was forced to leave her two daughters to the pack of bloodclanners. She had to run get help but she knew it would be too late for her kits. Instead she ran home to her brother, to her clan.
Upon return she ran head first into a patrol. they didn't recognize her at first so they took her prisoner and took her to the clan. The moment she got to the clan's current t home her brother noticed her. He had changed from the sweet brother she knew into a cold heartless warrior. He was angered when his sister returned. The only reason Gingertail didn't';t attack ehr was the clan leader told him not too. Icepaw begged to be taken back, and that she would change her ways. The leader pondered this for a moon and took her back into the clan and gave her her warrior name. Iceclaw was changed for the better and knew she couldn't make it up to her clan and especially not her brother.
Soon after being taken back the clan began their return home. She had never seen the moor lands before and couldn't wait. She marched proudly behind the clan trying to be at the end. During their return she was given an apprentice named Brightpaw. Brightpaw was a very inquisitive apprentice and off ten question her mentors tricky battle style. Iceclaw also always kept her apprentice on her toes with constant tests. Iceclaw was avery good mentor and brightpaw would have been a great warrior has she not died from infection. ZIceclaw was devastated that she had been the cause of the cut that got infected. They had accidental falled into a brier patch and icepaw was able to get out unsaved but her apprentice was cut upon a few times as she escaped. The journey had also made the medicine needed hard to find sometimes and so not even the medicine cat could help the apprentice. Iceclaw knew she had tried to do all she could to help her apprentice but she still felt guilty about her apprentices untimely death.
Windclan finally met it's former homes blistering winds. They walked on heads high until a riverclan attack began. Iceclaw battled with fire in her heart because of her apprentices death. It was her that had knocked the riverclan warrior from the land into the foam of the gorge. She looked back and watched as her enemy plummeted to his death and she felt sad for killing the cat. She wasn't proud of the wind against riverclan. She was even more disappointed to learn that the deputy had fallen in as well. She was not expecting when the leader approached her to become the new deputy. Iceclaw knew she wanted it and was reluctant at first but eventually she did become deputy
RP Sample: Leaf-bares cold wind snuck in and around the camp nipping at any one it could get it's tiny claws on. It found a small hole and creeped in on the white warrior within. She rolled trying to stay asleep but The cold won the battle and the white warriors bright red eyes opened. The warior walked out half asleep. She didn't really wake up to she ran head first into a ginger tabby tom. "Iceclaw Shape up your the deputy now" The tom hissed at her. "Yes Gingertail, sorry I am still a bit tired from my first gathering as deputy." Iceclaw responded coldly.
What crawled up his fur and died? Iceclaw thought to herself. Gingertail hadn't been the same since the return of his only sister. almost every one could tell it was hostile grounds to ask and so no one ever did. Iceclaw now fully awake walked quietly to the medicine den and poked her head into the warmth. Her eyes fell on her leader who was dealing with what the medicine cat called a cold. Iceclaw was worried about her leader and visited every once in a while.
The deputy took another step in and the medicine cat looked up at her. SHe looked directly into his eyes and smiled. The medicine cat new her well and knew she was bad at this so he dissmisssed trying to be freindly and got to the point. "His condition hasn't changed Iceclaw. Go and orginize the patrols or something he just needs to rest." The older tom remarked. Iceclaw turned and walked out and into the center of camp to adress the warriors and apprentices that were awake.

OOC Info Alias: Kyra Years RPing: 8 years on and off maybe.... Auditioning for: WindClan deputy/leader Why do you want this role? I'm applying for both leader and deputy because I love WindClan and I love to feel needed. ///shot I'd really prefer deputy, but if no one else applies for leader, I would be okay with him stepping up into that role. --- IC Info Name: Mothfur (Mothstar) Age: 60 Gender: Tom or she-cat? Personality: Mothfur is an honest and hardworking cat, and he expects others to be that way too. When it comes to cats, he's really your average Joe, or should I say your average Tom? He's not sadistic like Brokenstar, ambitious like Tigerstar, or overeager like Leopardstar. He likes things to be simple and straightforward, so just talk straight. No nonsense, none of this talking out the side of your mouth. He deals with cats up front, and a cunning battle with try his patience.
Of course, it's not that he isn't smart enough for a battle of wits. He's a sharp guy, not a genius, but above average, certainly. He's quite the strategist when it comes to battle formations and has a sharp intuition for judging others. He can spot a good mentor/apprentice pair from a mile off. But really, he doesn't have time for all this hidden motive nonsense. His aim is to be as open as the moors he lives on, and that is his motto for WindClan too. Intelligence should be used for constructive, honest purposes, purposes that a cat doesn't have to lie about.
That said, it's not all "I cannot tell a lie" for him. Sometimes, his ideals get overbearing. He doesn't know when to draw the line and a lazy apprentice or a sneaky warrior can really get chewed by him, extensively so. He's an understanding guy but touch on one of his many petpeeves and he can get really annoyed and just lose his head. He tries not to hold grudges after the fact, but of course, none of us is perfect... He may hold tiny grudges, but he'll never admit it.
Honestly, he'll never admit anything faulty about himself except perhaps that his pelt is dirty or he made a mistake and let the prey escape on the hunting patrol, but that's about it. He doesn't see himself as having any major flaws, which, of course, is a flaw in and of itself. Infallibility, my dear Watson.
He's also rather traditional, although even I can't say if this is an attribute or a fault. The forest in these times needs some call back to the olden days, when clans fended for themselves without petty alliances and families were the backbone of the clan, but perhaps forcing these values down the throats of others by lecturing them about values and honesty and all that nonsense is taking it a step too far. With conservatism comes a touch of the judgmental, and Mothfur's type of judgment is certainly a fault.
History life in the nursery (0-6 moons) Mothkit was born sixty moons ago on a cloudless night under the WindClan stars. His mother, Rookflight, was a dark, tiny thing with a huge chip on her shoulder and privacy complex. She hated the clan knowing anything about her personal life, so she wouldn't admit that her mate was Mallowclaw, even though the tom was well-respected and obviously in love with her. Still, there's nothing like a secret to start up the rumor mill, and when her two beautiful boys, Mothkit and Branchkit, were born, they were the talk of the clan.
The two kits grew up without knowing who their father was. Mallowclaw visited them frequently in the nursery, but Rookflight refused to tell them that he was their father, and Mallowclaw respected her rights. The two boys dreamed that their father, maybe, was the the clan deputy, Reedfeather, or maybe even one of the leaders of the other clan, like Pinestar or Hailstar! After all, why would their mother keep his identity a secret if he was an ordinary cat?
They'd play investigator, interrogating all the members of the clan, as well as other games not related to discovering their heritage, like tail-chase and hide and seek. The two brothers were as close as could be.
dog days of 'pawship (6-14 moons) Mothkit and Branchkit became apprentices on time, and our little hero took on the name Mothpaw. The apprentice den brought him new acquaintances and he soon became good friends with the older apprentice, Tallpaw. Mothpaw and his brother stayed close, but they were no longer attached at the hip. New friends and the extreme workload of apprenticeship made being so buddy-buddy impossible.
Mothpaw's mentor, incidentally, was Mallowclaw, and one day during fighting drills, when Mothpaw was getting beaten to a pulp, Mallowclaw suddenly gave up. He couldn't do it anymore, he announced, although Mothpaw wasn't what 'it' was. When they got back to camp, Mallowclaw approached Heatherstar and asked to be removed as Mothpaw's mentor. After a long talk between leader and warrior in the leader's den, Heatherstar gave in and assigned Mothpaw a new mentor.
Mothpaw demanded to know why Mallowclaw had given up on him, but the tom wouldn't say and neither would Heatherstar. His feelings were hurt, and the little apprentice ignored his former mentor for several weeks before Mallowclaw gave in an told him: Mothpaw, I am your father.
This revelation brought father and sons closer together, and Mallowclaw quickly became Mothpaw's idol, even if he was no longer his mentor. Branchpaw, on the other hand, became disenchanted by the revelation. He respected Mallowclaw, but the tom was no Reedfeather. He would never be a deputy or leader, and Branchpaw felt cheated. Though he spent time with Mothpaw and Mallowclaw, he felt like the odd ball out.
Times were easier for WindClan then and they were able to take longer to truly refine apprentices' skills before making them warriors. Mothpaw earned his warrior name, Mothfur, after a simple assessment at 14 moons old, and Branchpaw stayed an apprentice even longer, not becoming Branchstorm until 15 moons old.
the easy, early warrior days (14-37 moons) Mothfur likes to refer to this period of his life as the 'golden age', when WindClan had nothing more to worry about than how the fast the rabbits were running that day. I suppose, at the time, he didn't realize how good he had it, he most certainly would have taken it for granted, but now, looking back, life was so easy and perfect then.
Once he got his warrior name, Mothfur suddenly looked a whole heck of a lot more appealing to Spottedpaw, an apprentice slightly younger than him that he had a crush on during his apprenticeship. Now, he was no longer a boy, but a real, true man, and he found it easier to get Spottedpaw's attention. Soon, she too had joined the ranks of warrior as Spottedthorn, but it was too late: love had struck Mothfur hard, and he wouldn't give up. Luckily, Spottedthorn felt the same way. The two became mates and eventually, Spottedthorn announced that she was having his kits.
Meanwhile, another queen's litter had reached the lucky six moons old, and Mothfur was able to receive his first apprentice: Dustypaw. With an adoring apprentice and a loving mate who was expecting kits, Mothfur's life seemed just about perfect.
But everything changed when the Shadow Nation attacked...
the dark ages (38-45 moons) Newleaf of his 38th moon, WindClan was driven into exile by ShadowClan. The fight was bitter, but ShadowClan succeeded in pushing the clan out of their home, claiming WindClan's moors and rabbits as their own.
Spottedthorn's kits had just been made apprentices when they were forced to make the trek, and the journey was hard on the entire family. Mothfur found a new relationship with StarClan as every night he would pray to his warrior ancestors to protect Littlepaw, Spiderpaw, and Spottedthorn.
For Branchstorm, the exile was even more difficult. He had no mate for support, his parents had never lived up to his expectations, and he didn't even have an apprentice to call his own. Now, he didn't even have a home. He became very distant, and Mothfur couldn't seem to get through to him. The close brotherhood had grown too far apart.
When ThunderClan came to bring WindClan back to their territory, Branchstorm announced that he couldn't go back. Fighting ShadowClan wasn't worth risking life and limb for, Branchstorm had decided, and so he decided to stay behind at the little horseplace and become a real loner.
It devastated Mothfur to have to leave his brother, but his mate and kits came first. And so did the clan. He said his goodbyes and began the long journey back to the moors.
But, as Branchstorm certainly had known, ShadowClan wouldn't let WindClan get off that easy. Battle broke out upon the clan's return and every clan in the forest was involved. Deadfoot was killed in that battle. When the battle broke and the moors cleared out and WindClan found themselves once again with a home of their own, Tallstar realized that he would have to name a new deputy.
a new beginning (45 moons to present) Again, blessings seem to come in numbers to Mothfur. Before sunhigh after Deadfoot's death, Tallstar named Mothfur deputy. He hadn't forgotten the skill of the tom he had shared a den with all those moons ago. In the same ceremony
That same night, Spottedthorn revealed that she was having yet another litter of kits. Two moons later, Mothfur was the proud deputy and father of Mousekit, Blackkit, and Cloverkit. The family was growing, and he couldn't be more proud. His life was finally getting into order.
That is, except for one tiny detail: the war.
His deputyship has been filled with strategizing and training to keep WindClan on top during the war. Tigerstar is a difficult ally to have, problematic at best and dangerous at worse, and it has been a difficult task advising Tallstar on the matters of war. He doesn't trust Tigerstar, but for now, he believes WindClan to be safer under ThunderClan's protection. Even if they have come back strong since the exile.
He has fought in every battle WindClan has seen and now bears more scars than the devil himself, but he is a strong and proud cat. He believes WindClan can make it out of this war victorious.
RP Sample: Once a week, around sunhigh, Mothfur would visit the nursery. It wasn't that he was trying to play the phony, politicians-kissing-the-baby card, even though it come across that way to some cats, but honestly, he was genuinely interested in WindClan's kits. He liked to keep an eye on how the warriors-to-be were turning out, if they seemed like they were being raised properly, and really get a feel for their personality. After all, some day, it would be him decided which kits got which mentors. It was good to practice now.
As he playfully wagged his tail in the direction of a pouncing kit, Mothfur experienced a pang of sadness. He missed his own kits. All of his children were full-grown warriors now (wasn't he old!) and not a one was even making a move toward bearing some grandkits. But it wasn't even that he wanted to be a grandfather.... He liked being a father himself. Part of him wished that he and Spottedthorn weren't aging so quickly. Perhaps there were a few more litters of kits left in them....
But no, probably not. He was so busy nowadays that there was hardly anytime for him to raise kits. It was difficult enough making it to the nursery to check on these guys.
Yowza! Mothfur jumped in surprise as a little she-kit sunk her teeth into his tail. While her mother scooped her up and started scolding her, Mothfur gave his tail a few licks. The queen apologized, but Mothfur just mrrowed in amusement. I guess that's the sign I needed isn't it, little girl? he told the kit. Time for me to get back to the grown up world...
As usual, there were things to be done.
