Before auditioning, please read How High Positions Work to learn what's expected of our important characters. It is also recommended that you carefully read our site plot and history and, if you are applying for a canon, our How Canons Work. All these can be found under the Protocol Board.

Please note that these are auditions. It is not first come, first serve character claim. Staff will consider the quality of the writing as well as the characters themselves to decide who gets the role. So please, submit your best work!

ShadowClan leader
Without Fireheart and Graystripe to go in search of Yellowfang and Frostfur's kits, ThunderClan never discovered Brokenstar's kit stealing and never launched the attack that would eventually overthrow the wretched leader. Brokenstar is still very much in power in ShadowClan and is at work making kits into apprentices too young, stealing kits from other clans, hunting outside of his territory, and other clear breaches of the warrior code. If you want to apply for his position, fill out the following form:

I. Yellowfang, then ShadowClan's medicine cat, gives birth Raggedpelt's kits. The two she-kits die, but one tom, Brokenkit, remains.
II. Lizardstripe nurses Brokenkit, but does not claim to be his mother. To everyone besides his parents, Brokenkit's heritage is unknown. (In some books, Brokenkit knows that Raggedstar is his father, but in the main arc, he does not know this, so we're sticking with that story.)
III. Brokenpaw is apprentice to Nightpelt, although he resents his sickly mentor.
IV. Brokenpaw becomes Brokentail.
V. Raggedstar makes Brokentail deputy after Cloudpelt dies.
VI. Brokentail kills Raggedstar and makes it look like an attack from a WindClan patrol. Brokentail becomes Brokenstar.
VII. ShadowClan drives WindClan out of the forest.
VIII. ShadowClan begins to starve, and Brokenstar asks for the right to hunt on other clans' territory. Only Crookedstar agrees
IX. ShadowClan attacks ThunderClan for refusing to let them hunt on their territory.
X. When ThunderClan brings WindClan back from exile, Brokenstar and Crookedstar launch an attack on the two clans on WindClan territory.
XI. At a Gathering, Brokenstar declares war against WindClan, starting a "world" war when ThunderClan backs WindClan and RiverClan backs ShadowClan.
