APPEARANCE
LINK
Spottedthorn has aged nicely. Her lovely tortie coat is still as vibrant as ever, due to the good diet she has maintained most of her life. Bright, flaming orange patches mix nicely with dark black, and only a few sparse hairs have begun to gray. Her whiskers are unusually black and blend in well with her coat, which is short but sleek, almost RiverClan-esque in its quality. Her eyes are a bright, tawny yellow that seem to clash with her pelt, although they glow awfully bright.

PERSONALITY
Spottedthorn is a PREDICTABLE old girl, more set in her ways than the sun and the moon, which means she holds no surprises in no store for you. It makes dealing with her fairly easy. But that’s not to say she’s easy to get along with, because she can be rather SHARP. Her tongue is really worse than her claws when she’s upset, and she’s actually very BOSSY, even when she’s not upset. She’s convinced that she knows what’s best, and is more than willing to tell you so to your face. And once she’s upset, she’ll call a cat out in front of the whole clan. Really, her tongue is the thorn that is referred to in her name.
But Spottedthorn isn’t all prickles. She is has strong MATERNAL instincts; she just wants to take care of every cat, especially those much younger than she. She is PROTECTIVE of those she cares about, and since she is LOYAL, “those she cares about” equals pretty much all of WindClan, although of course she cherishes her close friends and her family above all else. She tends to be very nurturing and wants the best for all of WindClan, and she sees it as her job to help the Clan become its best. She’s generally very PATIENT, especially with unruly kits and apprentices, but that doesn’t make her calm. She’s a WORRY-WART, constantly fretting about the health and safety of those she loves. Still, she doesn’t allow this nervousness to interfere with her duties. Like all good moms, she knows how to suck it up, whether it’s breaking out the tough love or chasing down a badger with an apprentice. I suppose this makes her BRAVE, although that doesn’t seem like quite the right word... Still, anyone with a tough mom will know what quality I’m talking about it.

HISTORY
Spottedkit, Flamekit, and Sorrelkit were born on a gray, windy day on the moors. Pantherstrike watched nervously as Amberface gave birth, and StarClan must have been watching over them, because all survived, a rather rare occurrence in clan births.
Spottedkit was the oldest kit by about one minute, and she never let the others forget it. She was bossy from the beginning, and she idolized their mother, often imitating Amberface’s demeanor when interacting with her brothers.
When they became apprentices, Spottedpaw had it rough, because she didn’t like being told what to do by someone who wasn’t Amberface. The first moons were rather rough on the poor she-cat, but luckily, she had her good friend Mothpaw to help her through it. He was older than her but still a friend, so she was willing to listen to him. He was pretty much the reason she survived the adjustment from kit to apprentice. When Mothpaw became Mothfur, Spottedpaw was prompted to train even harder to earn her warrior name.
One day, Spottedpaw and Sorrelpaw were out gathering herbs for the medicine cat when they came across a badger. It’s hard to know what holes belong to rabbits, which ones are empty, and which ones belong to bad animals, like badgers or foxes, so imagine Sorrelpaw’s surprise when a badger jumped out at him! Spottedpaw yelled at Sorrelpaw to run, but his first instinct was the fight the badger, and he made it angry. Spottedpaw had been running away, like she had told Sorrelpaw to do, but she turned back to find her brother in trouble. She returned to help him get in a few claws before the two of them ran away, but Spottedpaw knew something was wrong. Sorrelpaw was bleeding so badly.
Sorrelpaw died not much later from his wounds, which wouldn’t stop bleeding. Spottedpaw was devastated but she knew that Sorrelpaw would want her to continue training, so she did. She became a warrior and was given the name Spottedthorn, for her blunt attitude and bossiness.
Now that she didn’t have apprentice duties to worry about, Spottedthorn could focus on her relationships, and she soon realized that she cared deeply for Mothfur. The two became mates, and Spottedthorn announced that she was carrying his kits. Soon WindClan had two new mouths to feed: Spiderkit and Littlekit.
The kits grew up fast, and soon they were apprentices. But things wouldn’t be happy forever.
Eventually, ShadowClan pushed WindClan out of the moors, forcing Spottedthorn out of the territory that she loved. It put a strain on every cat, and soon everywhere she looked cats were dying. She was thankful for every day that her mate and kits made it through alive, but her parents were not so lucky. Pantherstrike died of starvation, and Amberface went into mourning, so her health began to suffer to. By the time ThunderClan came to bring WindClan back, Amberface was too weak to make the journey. She tried, but her body gave out, and Spottedthorn stayed behind to bury her mother near her father.
Because she stayed behind, Spottedthorn missed the big battle that occurred between the clans, but she saw its devastation. She returned that night to find Deadfoot dead and Mothfur the new deputy. Finally, she was in her new home, and she felt safe enough to announce that she was having kits. She had known for a while, so the pregnancy was shorter than most. Soon, she gave birth to Blackkit, Mousekit, and Cloverkit.
Spottedthorn returned quickly to her warrior duties once her second litter was apprenticed. There was much to do with the war in full swing. She took on an apprentice whose mentor had been killed in battle, surprisingly her first apprentice because she had always been so busy raising kits. She fights diligently for her clan, but she longs for the war to be over so that her WindClan family can live in peace again.
