APPEARANCE
PERSONALITY
Owlflash is an extremely intelligent tom. He is observant and methodical. He thinks things out, sometimes three or four steps ahead. He is not one that things pass over easily. Rather, he hears every word a cats says to him (and to others) and listens to it. He then ponders it, and then replies accordingly. He is not one to act rashly. He is calm and hardly one to be kit-like or hyper. He does smile and laugh occasionally, but finding a cat that can make him do that is rare. He can sometimes come off as detached, but is far from that. He is simply listening and thinking. Sometimes his intelligence can come off as threatening, as he can sometimes seem to read a cat's mind. Of course, he can't. Oh, but how he would love to be able to. In other words, he would be a great chess player, if he played chess.
Owl isn't one of those big giant teddy bears. Oh no. He's a tough hard ass type of guy. He doesn't like to show his emotions whatsoever. He thinks that is a weakness, and weakness isn't to be tolerated. He learned that from his father, whom he admired with all his heart. At least, on the outside, that's what he wants to portray. He's a determined soul with great ambition. He's stubborn and strong-willed. His minds not easily changed at all. His bright eyes betray his true emotions. He's kept in so many secrets, so much hurt, that it's darkened his mind toward the worst.
However, Owl isn't all bad ass. He has a soft spot for kits. Something about their cute, innocent eyes make his stone heart melt. He also has a soft spot for the underdog. He, being so massive, protects the weak and lowly. He always has, and always will. He has a strong sense of duty and loyalty, something that will never leave his heart. Once he's committed to something - or someone - he's in it for the long haul. He refuses to give up, he refuses to lose. Understand, he's not emotionless. He does have emotions, and they are very potent and swirling around in his head. He just chooses not to act upon them. He chooses to hide them.

HISTORY
Born to Featherrose and Dustclaw, Owl had a sheltered kithood. He was curious yes, but with overbearing and overprotective parents he had no life. Literally. His mother was always worried he was going to die, and his father was never really around. As he got older, he began to wonder if his father even loved his mother. He would only come down once in a while to play with Owl, and when he did there seemed to be tension between them. But Owl was a kit, he didn't really care.
When Owl became an apprentice, that's when his thirst for knowledge began. He led an uneventful apprentice hood other than, you know, Shadowclan taking over his terrirtory. He was a little young at first to really participate in the battle of the tunnels, but when Shadowclan raided, he got to see action first hand. He fought with another apprentice (Gingerpaw) to ward off any bigger enemies that came at them. Even though their mentors were keeping a close eye on them, Gingerpaw died from a gaping wound a Shadowclanner had made on her side. Though Owl did all he could, it wasn't enough to save the poor thing. He hates Shadowclan now, even more than he did before hand. And now that they have taken over his territory, his anger has boiled over the top.
On top of things, he could tell the tension between his father and mother growing. They would go to great lengths to avoid each other, but again, he had more important things to worry about. He never had a love or crush, he didn't really care to have any. So he trained and trained hoping to one day single-handedly take over Shadowclan camp (like an idiot apprentice he was. But hey, apprentices can dream, right?), draining his mentor of all the knowledge they possessed.
Soon after he became a warrior, his mother and father went missing. He searched for them with patrols that were sent out, but turned up with nothing for days. Then, one stormy night, a patrol returned with his mother's mangled body. It seemed there was a fight just over their borders with rogue territory, and footprints leaving the scene. His father was no where to be found. It was assumed that Dustclaw murdered her. And Owl believed it. He deemed if he ever saw his father again, he'd kill him.
