PERSONALITY
Swallowstrike is ENERGETIC, DRIVEN, LOYAL, FRIENDLY, and a YES-MAN.
ENERGETIC: Swallowstrike has seemingly boundless energy. She's not one for lazing around in the sun, or napping in the heat of the day. Every moment she spends asleep or not moving is a moment wasted to her, and she feels guilty about indulging herself rather than serving her Clan. Every spare moment is spent out of camp, hunting or patrolling or even just running about through the territory. Even if she's not assigned to a patrol, Swallowstrike will go out and find one and tag along, or if there isn't one to be found, she'll go along the borders or go to hunt on her own. She loves being out in the territory. The tall trees make her feel safe and she loves hearing birdcalls and sounds of prey in the underbrush even when she isn't hunting.
DRIVEN: Swallowstrike channels her energy into becoming the best warrior she can be. As stated, she goes out on patrol or hunts of her own volition, but she's also always searching for opportunities to hone her skills beyond those. She will seek out senior warriors and pester them to teach her any special techniques they've made up or learned from their experience. She particularly wants to learn how to fight better; she harbors an intense hatred of RiverClan and wants to avenge the death of Redtail on every RiverClan warrior she meets. She's proud of her abilities and is always looking for ways to turn them to the betterment of ThunderClan.
LOYAL: Swallowstrike loves her Clan. She earnestly believes ThunderClan is the best Clan in the forest, and wants to do everything in her power to show everyone that it's true. She embraces the oath of warriors to defend their Clan with their lives and devotes herself to protecting and providing for her Clanmates, giving her all each day until she collapses into her nest at night. She views the Clan as the sum of each individual cat within it, and even if she personally dislikes a Clanmate, and though she doesn't get particularly close to any of them, she loves each one in a sort of abstract way, and would give up her life for any one of them. However, if any cat hints at disloyalty, Swallowstrike instantly develops an intense dislike of them. To her, Clan is the most important thing, and any cat that would turn against their Clan is not worth knowing.

HISTORY
Swallowkit was born near the end of leafbare of year 0. Her father died of blackcough about a moon before her birth. Nevetheless, she was a playful, adventurous kit, always sneaking out of the nursery into the warrior's den and trying to convince the warriors to tell her stories and teach her to hunt and fight. Redtail was always kind to her, and the deputy became her idol; she would brag to her mother that she would grow up to be ThunderClan deputy one day, just like the red tom. When Redtail was killed at Sunning Rocks, Swallowkit was utterly devastated. For several days, she refused to leave the nursery. When she came out, the little kit proclaimed that she would kill any RiverClan cat she met, and fixed herself on a new hero: Tigerclaw, who had avenged Redtail by killing the wicked Oakheart.
She was disappointed when she wasn't given Tigerclaw as her mentor, and was instead given to a warrior by the name of Blackfur. She quickly got over her disappointment, then, when Blackfur proved more than able to teach her to use her speed to make up for her small size in battle, which was of considerably more interest to her than hunting training. While Swallowpaw respected and liked her mentor, she never sought his attention or approval; no, that she reserved for Tigerclaw. She always wanted to be in his patrols so she could show off the skills she was learning and hopefully impress him. She was jealous of Ravenpaw, and at once looked down on him as not being worthy of her idol and wanting to find out what it was like being mentored by the best warrior in ThunderClan from him.
Swallowpaw didn't spend much time getting close to the other apprentices; she was devoted to training and becoming the best warrior she could. She was friendly towards them and all, but spent most of her waking hours training or patrolling, and slept early and deeply, leaving little time for socializing.
Swallowpaw fought in the battle in which Bluestar died. Her mother died as well. While she mourned with the rest of her Clan, she'd always thought Bluestar wasn't a very strong leader; she'd allowed ShadowClan to steal kits, two of her deputies to be killed, and hadn't even made a big deal about dying. In her mind, Tigerstar would be a far better leader.
Swallowpaw participates in several border skirmishes and finishes her apprenticeship in late newleaf of year 1. She is intensely proud of her new name, given for the hit-and-run tactics she learned from Blackfur, who dies soon afterwards at the battle of Tallpines. While many cats didn't approve of Tigerstar's alliance with BloodClan, Swallowstrike could find no fault with him, sure that any decision he made would be for the good of the Clan.
