Suggestion?

My apologies; I wasn't sure where the best place to put this was.

Anyways, I've noticed that we've had a lull in activity, as will happen because the year is winding down and summer is almost here (yay!) That's not to say that I'm the most active member (I know I'm not, I'm taking like two months to finish a simple bio) but I'd like to suggest something that I've seen on other sites.

Adding an advertising moderator to the staff team might help out, take some of the time of posting ads off of the admins' hands and stuff. Maybe have a very active member do most of the ad-posting, maybe even write a directory to make it easy to avoid double-posting. Another thing I've seen on a site I was once part of is an advertising contest. Members will post ads--no reposts, link-backs don't count -and then link to every ad they posted. At the end of, say 3-4 weeks, the member with the most ads posted gets a prize.

I hope I don't come across poorly, just some suggestions based off of what I've seen around the web.

Anyhow, you don't come across poorly at all. I always appreciate members taking an interest in the site. After all, this is your RP too, not just mine!

I definitely think an advertising mod would be good. Technically, that's one of the duties that I "hired" Kratos for, but since we're in college together, our exams fall at the same time, so neither one of us are on much these days to advertise. I've been thinking about opening up mod applications, and I definitely will soon. Probably this weekend, when I have a slight lull in my schedule.

I also like the idea of an advertising contest, but before I open that up, I think I'd actually like to have a different kind of advertising contest, where members can create a new ad for us. Our text ad right now is kind of sloppy, and I'd like to switch to something more visually appealing before posting it everywhere. I can get to concocting a contest like that this weekend, if anyone's interested.

Creating a new ad sounds good, people like pretty pictures xD I would certainly be willing to put forth an ad as well (if I can get my lazy butt to do anything >.<) Obviously, take your time. School sucks a lot of the time, haha.
