[/size][/font] There are two major factors that convinced this young she-cat's mother to name her after a finch. The first was her size; Finchpaw was born much smaller than most kits, and her brother, who could also have been considered small, was nearly twice her size. Finches are very small birds, and Finchpaw was a very small kit, thus this contributed to her name. The other factor was her coloring; Finchpaw is a light brown tabby, and the common finch is brown with darker markings. No other name could have suited her better.

FAMILY, Finchpaw was born to Willowtail {living} and sired by Sandfur {deceased}. She has a brother named Auburnpaw.

APPEARANCE

Finchpaw is tiny. Not just small, but tiny. She is hardly the size an apprentice should be, and is often ridiculed for this. Pertaining to her build, she is slender and slight, with small paws and a narrow chest that make her seem fragile and weak. Despite this, the muscles beneath her pelt are smooth and tense after six moons of rough-housing with her brother. Her fur is a light yellow-brown in color, with darker tabby markings. However, her paws, muzzle, chest, underbelly, and tail tip are all a snowy-white color. Her eyes are a pale yellow-gold, hardly standing out against her light pelt.

PERSONALITY

LOYAL, KIND, RESERVED, INTELLIGENT, MODEST, DESPERATE TO PROVE HERSELF, SHY, EASILY STRESSED, GULLIBLE, FRETS OVER THE LITTLE THINGS

LOYAL; Finchpaw would never dream of betraying her Clan, and would fight to the death to defend it if need be.

KIND; She would never raise a paw against anyone unless she needed to, nor would she ever growl. She never has anything mean to say to anybody.

RESERVED; Not being very social, she is very quiet and prefers to keep to herself.

INTELLIGENT; Finchpaw is very clever, and able to work out things in a heartbeat when most cats would take minutes.

MODEST; She never brags. This is probably because she doesn't believe she really has anything to brag about.

DESPERATE TO PROVE HERSELF; Seeing as Finchpaw is incredibly small, she has a lot to prove in terms of her strength, and would do some pretty stupid things to do so.

SHY; Finchpaw has trouble speaking to other cats. She's far too worried about what they'll think about her.

EASILY FRIGHTENED; Finchpaw is scared easily, and will often back down from a challenge.

GULLIBLE; She will believe nearly anything you tell her, so long as it is logical.

FRETS OVER THE LITTLE THINGS; The littlest things will stress her out for days.

HISTORY

KITHOOD; Finchkit was born extremely small. Her parents worried that she wouldn't survive, but she forced away their doubts when she began to grow and play just like a normal kit. Her brother, Rowankit, often taunted her and made fur of her for her size, but Finchkit learned to ignore these taunts. When she was five moons old, her father caught greencough. Sadly, he passed away, being an older cat just like her mother. However, this didn't affect Finchkit so much, seeing as her father was far too busy doing "warrior things" and rarely came to visit his kits. But Finchkit's mother was distraught, causing Finchkit herself to feel sorrowful for her father's death.

APPRENTICESHIP; Finchpaw has recently turned six moons, and she is eager to meet her new mentor and prove herself worthy of becoming a warrior.
