APPEARANCE

A gorgeous dark brown tabby tom. His short pelt is the color of rich chocolate and is adorned with a mixture of darker stripes and spots. It is kept looking glossy and healthy thanks to his immaculate cleaning habits and abundance of prey that is caught with his skills. His nose and inner ears are a dark pink and his ears are bigger than most cats but proportioned will with his round face. As you get to his muzzle, the brown color fades before ending in complete white. The underside of his tail, belly and paws are all white as well. Long white whiskers fan out from his muzzle and aid him in getting around dark places. While the rest of his body is striped, his legs and tail are mot spotted, thus giving him an exotic appearance. His eyes are a vibrant grassy green. All in all, he is a fairly handsome tom.

PERSONALITY

Eagletalon constantly appears to be a non-nonchalant, carefree soul with little concern about his surroundings or others welfare, which to a degree is true. He doesn't get directly involved with others business(he prefers to eavesdrop thank you) and tends to remain on the sidelines. That said, he isn't a social outcast. In fact, he is quite well-known among his friends for pranks he pulls on everyone with the help of his skills. He rarely ever gets into fights since he's not easily provoked but he has a habit of purposely annoying/irritating anyone who confronts him. Now if his loved ones are threatened, it's a totally different story...

Is it possible to be popular and mysterious? Well Eagletalon seems to pull it off. With no close friends, he has managed to keep his personal life secretive and leaving those he knows in the dark, which somehow makes him charismatic. It's not too hard for someone who has a degree of self-control, sophistication, and intelligence.

With those looks and virge-on-bad-boy personality, it would only make sense the ladies would be after him and Eagletalon has no problem with a little attention from the she-cats. He is an experienced flirt but he never goes farther than that. Actually in the recent years, the fact she-cats throw themselves at him is getting on his nerves.

Around his clan-mates and friends, he can't seem to keep his mouth shut but he can tell an amazing story. He's always two steps ahead of cats yet has a fear of water since he can't swim. Often he can be restless but his heart is in the right place and he is loyal to the code at all times.

One last thing...this cat is ambitious. Not Eagletalon-rule-the-forest ambitious, but I-need-to-be-deputy-to-make-Thunderclan-better ambitious. Though he hates Tigerstar with a passion and doesn't want to do a cat harm, he has a tendency to play friendly with him and is thinking of putting doubts in the leaders mind about Foxheart has deputy.

HISTORY

Eagletalon was born a Thunderclan cat, bred with the ferocity of his father and mystery of his mother. Tree-climbing and hunting came naturally to him, everyone could see that even when he was a kit. Raised up along side his two brothers, Heronkit and Mousekit, he learned how to be the best warrior he could be, since that was the path chosen for him by his father.

Heronkit became a medicine cat apprentice while Eaglepaw and Mousepaw were trained as warriors. Eaglepaw trained along side Swallowpaw, who later became Swallowstrike. As time went on, he began to have feelings for her but events coming to him soon drew him away.

During their apprenticeship mother fell in love with a rouge tom and started to see him in secret. Father found out, tracked the rouge down, and killed him. Mother never forgave father for that and left the clan for good while pregnant with a single daughter.

Their world shaken, the three brothers still managed to finish their apprenticeship but soon after Greencough settled into the clan during winter and took many lives, including his father and brothers, and soon after Eagletalon learned that his father had killed his mother too, before he had always been told his mother had died at the jaws of a coyote. Then came another shocking secret from a queen...the same rouge his mother had gave her life up for was his real father.

Stricken with grief and so very confused, Eagletalon begrudgingly did his warrior duties and then would retreat into the den to sleep the remainder of the day. He ate little and slowly his health deteriorated. It wasn't long before he contracted a terrible virus and was put out of commission for suns upon suns. Only by the grace of Starclan and Cloudfall's herbs did he survive and finally come to realize his life wasn't his own. He had to live on to the fullest for his mother and brothers and all those under the paw of Tigerstar.

Eagletalon since then had changed and became the very best he can be in his youth, striving for the position of deputy-ship so he could surpass the shady Tigerstar and drive out retched Bloodclan from the forest. Only then, he believes, will Thunderclan grow strong once more and help put a stop to this war.

Now this tom has tried to convince Tigerstar he is a cat he can trust, not just at his side but with the succession of Thunderclan itself. It's hard to believe the leader would trust anyone besides that of his two closest companions...Imagine his surprise when Tigerstar presented Bramblekit -his own son- as an apprentice to Eagletalon. Things could not have been going better for the ambitious tom. Here he had an important part of Tigerstar beneath him, ready to be molded and influenced by Eagletalon for whatever purpose he wished. Would he turn son against father, completely abandon the apprentice, or mentor him as he should and see where the dice fell?

This looks good, but I have a problem with his name. Let's say his apprenticeship lasted the average 6 moons... That would make him getting his warrior name in around Leafbare, Year 0. Now, the war hadn't started then, but ShadowClan had just driven WindClan out of the forest and had launched an attack on ThunderClan, so it seems strange that ThunderClan would give a warrior the suffix -shadow at that time, since it seems to be honoring another clan who has hostile intentions toward ThunderClan.

(I would go so far as to say that logic applies to his mother and the prefix Wind-, but there is a canon TC cat named Windflight and there's no evidence to prove that ThunderClan and WindClan were in the midst of fighting when she was born, so I'll accept her name.)

However, the situation has just been too extreme within the past couple of years to justify any ThunderClan cat taking on the name of another clan, particularly that of their enemy. -shade is acceptable if you looking for something similar, although still kind of a stretch because of its connotations. I personally prefer the more traditional endings such as -heart and -storm, but whatever you choose, just make sure to explain it.
