APPEARANCE
Nightbreeze is a very handsome Persian cat for his age. With silky, long, flowing fur black as the night for which he was named, melty golden eyes, and a robust, muscular build, his sheer size is enough to unfaze an opponent or captivate a clan-mate. He may be older than most but his appearance and voice gush with youth and wisdom. His legs are stout but his thick, luxurious fur adds to his height and makes him an imposing and authoritative figure, which tends to keep the kits and cold away but attracts fleas and heat. It also hides the bulge on his back where his spine is beginning to fuse, rendering him incapable of fighting or performing other warrior-like duties.
PERSONALITY
Normally, Nightbreeze is a cool, calm, and collected tom who's quiet and reserved. Although he has every right to be, Nightbreeze isn't like any elder you'd think of: Grumpy, smart-mouthed, snappy. Instead he's a kind, compassionate, and shy cat with a patient and understanding spirit. But that's just normally. On some days, when his back is being a particular nuisance and painful, he will lash out at anyone, including the leader. But he isn't proud or arrogant so as once as he's feeling better with the help of the medicine cats herbs he will apologize and try to make it up to you for his behavior. Nightbreeze doesn't journey much farther than the elders den because its such a pain-staking process to walk, so he is mostly either inside sleeping off poppy seeds or outside sunning himself and lost in deep thought of when he was a warrior.
Nightbreeze loves his clan, the water, the kits, but everyone but the water stays away from him mostly based on looks or past brushes with his pained side. With the help of other warriors, or even times when he is feeling his best, he likes to go down to the water and take a dip and even fish.

HISTORY
Kit-hood:As a kit, Nightkit was boisterous, bouncy, full of energy and ready for anything that came his way. No kit could have been as happy as he was: with both his parents, Shellfur and Stonescale, by his side and a whopping three siblings, Troutkit, Cranekit, and Reedkit, he had an endless amount of love and play in his early life. He was never made fun of, never called out, and only received the most compliments and praise a young kit could handle. He grew into a healthy apprentice, full of potential and eager to learn how to kick rival clan tail and provide for his own.
Apprentice-ship: Nightpaw ran with the best as an apprentice. Nothing slowed this cat down, not even his long, heat-attracting fur and short legs. He was a top-class fisher and an average warrior who learned to turn his weaknesses into ways to exploit the enemies. All thought his apprentice-ship, he made his mentor, Rainfeather, proud and became an exemplary individual in the clan. The day he became a warrior was one long awaited and joyous for Nightpaw and his friends and family. His brothers became Troutleap, Craneflight, and his sister became Reedpelt and he...Nightbreeze.
Warrior-Life:Admittedly, Nightbreeze was more close to Reedpelt then he was to any of his other siblings. That is one reason why the day Riverclan went to take back Sunningrocks was anything but hopeful and anything but joyous. It was him, Reedpelt, Stoneclaw, Blackscar, and Rainfeather included on the patrol to take out a group of Thunderclan warriors on Sunningrocks.
Apparently, the Thunderclan cats had been expecting an attack because two patrols were waiting in the bushes for them. The outcome was grim for Riverclan even though they had stopped Thunderclan from stealing the Rocks. Reedpelt was killed by two warriors, whom in turn one was killed by Blackscar in vengence of his future mates death. Stoneclaw ended up dying from an unhealing wound that became infected and Blackclaw was sent to the elders den because he could no longer fight with two broken legs and he eventually died too from heartbreak. Nightbreeze's suffering was more prolonged, though.
With the grief from the loss of his sister still in his heart, Brambleberry broke the news that because of a Thunderclan warrior falling across his back, somehow it became fractured and he most likely would never walk again, let alone fight. Fortunately, Nightbreeze healed but walking was a pain and the disks in his spine began to fuse. The great and powerful warrior was reduced to becoming a sulking elder.
Well, Leopardpaw became Leopardpelt the deputy and eventually Leopardstar the leader. Brambleberry passed on and left Mudfur as his successor. Troutleap and Craneflight were killed by the disease that had made it's way into Riverclan. Nightbreeze resented Crookedstar and for a long time blamed her and Leopardpelt for his condition and families death but he came to a better understanding of things thanks to his elderly mother, his father dead from a battle as well. He honored his passed leader Crookedstar with mourning and accepted Leopardstar as the new leader.
Time passed and Nightbreeze was the only one left of his family, the only one who could pass on the family genes and the tom really wished to find a mate, someone to call his own. But who would want someone who was practically a cripple, a powerful, majestic warrior reduced to a sleeping reclusive elder? No one, that's what Nightbreeze thought and still believes.
Nowadays, Nightbreeze carries on life peacefully and does what he can to help out the clan but his heart still longs for the days with his family and when he was able to run with the rest of the warriors and fight for what was Riverclan's.
